Bay of Fundy & Annapolis Valley Vacation Packages

Generally an ok hotel but it's old and doesn't seem to be well maintained. The AC was loud and whined as if it hadn't been upgraded in years. The toilet handle had to be rattled every time otherwise the water kept running. The hotel shows signs of age in terms of nicks in the bathtub, frayed carpet, and amenities that don't seem to have been updated for some time. The shuttle is first come-first serve and that's helpful, but you are out of luck if you don't get there early enough (i.e., not really customer-to-the-airport focused). You get what you pay for and while proximal to the airport, I'd probably pay a bit more to stay somewhere else next time around for better comfort and sleep.

The inn's location was great for walking to the waterfront and many restaurants. The entrance looked a bit rough but once inside it was nicely decorated, clean and quiet. We had the top floor but knew we had a walk-up when we booked. There was plenty of space and for a city, it was quiet. The only time we noticed the people next door was when they came in and out. The air conditioner was a blessing as we were in Halifax when it was quite hot. There were two clearly labeled parking spots directly behind the building that were available on our second day. The off-site parking was only a block away and plentiful, the signs discouraging parking were a bit off-putting and we questioned whether we had the right place but the car was there in the morning with no ticket.

The first thing I noticed was how filthy the rugs are in the halls. Filthy!!!!! The rooms are clean but nasty rugs also. This hotel obviously has a high volume of people going through it. The restaurant bar does a big business. The people who work there are very nice. But when I went out the back door past the kitchen, it also struck me as dirty. I immediately told myself that I wouldn't eat anything coming out of that kitchen. All the same it is a very popular spot but you go through the restaurant with your bags to check in. That is awkward. It is an old building. I think if they got rid of the old, dingy carpets everywhere (rooms included) it would be much more palatable to stay there. Room furniture is also a bit worn out.
